President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa, Paul Mashatile, at the Presidential Complex.
During the meeting, Türkiye–South Africa bilateral relations, as well as regional and global developments, were discussed.
President Erdoğan stated that Türkiye is working to further enhance its cooperation with South Africa and expressed his wish that the decisions taken and the documents signed during the Joint Commission meeting between the two countries would be beneficial.
Emphasizing that Türkiye continues to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza and monitors the implementation of the ceasefire, President Erdoğan appreciated South Africa’s strong support for the Palestinian cause.
President Erdoğan also wished South Africa success in preparing for the G20 Leaders’ Summit in November and underlined that Türkiye will be represented at the summit in the best possible way.
