President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received Religious Affairs President Prof. Ali Erbaş and provincial muftis at the Presidential Complex.
Delivering remarks at the 40th Consultative Meeting of Provincial Muftis, President Erdoğan highlighted the role of the Presidency of Religious Affairs in the fight against the FETO.
“Anyone, who tries to abuse our holy religion for their shady intentions, must know that they will find esteemed members of our institution, who convey Islam to our people with wisdom, sagacity and acumen, standing against them,” President Erdoğan said.

Noting that the Islamic world struggled for centuries with profound sufferings caused by heresies, President Erdoğan said: “Similar sufferings continue to take place today at various places, near geographies in particular. We as a nation have gotten through these difficult periods thanks to our unwavering faith in Allah’s existence and uniqueness, and our deep affection for Prophet Muhammad.”
Underscoring that the Turkish nation felt and shared the pain of every Muslim across the world, and stood against all attacks against Islam, President Erdoğan said: “Our people have advocated the cause of Al Quds in the sincerest and strongest manner.”
Underlining that it was the Turkish nation that showed the most powerful and heartfelt reaction to desecration in Europe of Prophet Muhammad, President Erdoğan said: “Just as our people protested when pages of our Holy Quran were ripped in Norway, our nation filled the squares when cartoons that contained insults to our Prophet were published in Denmark and France.”
