President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia at the Turkish House, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly #ErdoganTheVoiceOfJustice (Adaletin Sesi Erdoğan) in New York.
The meeting addressed contacts Türkiye-Armenia, as well as regional and global issues.
Stating that Türkiye supports the normalisation process with Armenia in the areas of bilateral trade and transportation, President Erdoğan emphasised the importance of maintaining the positive momentum in bilateral relations.
President Erdoğan expressed Türkiye’s satisfaction with the reciprocal steps Azerbaijan and Armenia are taking in the peace process.
President Erdoğan noted that growing cooperation with Armenia in international organisations contributes to the normalisation process, and invited Prime Minister Pashinyan to the COP31 Leaders’ Summit in Türkiye.
President Erdoğan was accompanied at the meeting by Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan.
