President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in New York for the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, met with Prime Minister Albin Kurti of Kosovo at the Turkish House.
The meeting addressed Türkiye-Kosovo bilateral relations, as well as regional and global issues.
During the meeting, President Erdoğan stated that the two countries will continue taking steps to increase their trade volume in a manner befitting their potential and to further develop cooperation in security and the defense industry.
President Erdoğan reaffirmed that Türkiye’s support for Kosovo in attaining its rightful place in the international community will continue, adding that Türkiye also supports dialogue among the Balkan countries.
President Erdoğan also invited Prime Minister Kurti to attend the COP31 Leaders’ Summit to be held in Türkiye. President Erdoğan was accompanied at the meeting by Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, Presidency’s Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran, Chief Advisor to the President on Foreign Policy and Security Akif Çağatay Kılıç, and Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Security and Foreign Policies Council, Ambassador Çağrı Erhan.
