President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with President Maia Sandu of Moldova on the sidelines of the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF2026).
The leaders addressed bilateral relations between Türkiye and Moldova, as well as regional issues.
During the meeting, President Erdoğan stated that we will continue to take steps to further advance relations between Türkiye and Moldova in many areas, particularly in trade, energy, and the defence industry.
Noting that, as Türkiye, we continue our efforts to revive the negotiation process to end the Russia–Ukraine war, President Erdoğan added that we have increased our contacts with the parties with the aim of achieving lasting peace.
President Erdoğan underscored that the Gagauz Turks are an exceptional symbol of the cultural and human ties between the two countries.
