President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with President Nicușor Dan of Romania at Istanbul Shipyard Command.
The leaders discussed Türkiye–Romania bilateral relations, as well as regional and global developments.
During the meeting, President Erdoğan noted that Türkiye attaches great importance to cooperation between the two countries across a wide range of fields, particularly trade, defence and security, and will continue to take steps to further strengthen bilateral relations.
Emphasising the importance Türkiye attaches to close cooperation with Romania on matters concerning the Black Sea, our President underlined that Türkiye is carrying out meticulous efforts, in coordination with the littoral states, to ensure and maintain security in the Black Sea.
President Erdoğan further stated that Türkiye is making intensive efforts to ensure that the positive developments towards peace in Iran also contribute to efforts aimed at bringing an end to the Russia–Ukraine war.
