President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in Turkistan, Kazakhstan for the Informal Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, met with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan.
The leaders discussed Türkiye–Uzbekistan bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues.
President Erdoğan stated that they would continue working to enhance cooperation between Türkiye and Uzbekistan in all fields, particularly in the defence industry and trade.
Noting that he believes the two countries will further strengthen their solidarity on international platforms as well, President Erdoğan invited Mirziyoyev to the Organization of Turkic States Summit and COP31 to be held in Türkiye.
