President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in Baku for the World Leaders Climate Action Summit of the 29th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), met with President Jakov Milatović of Montenegro.
The meeting addressed bilateral relations between Türkiye and Montenegro, as well as regional and global issues.
President Erdoğan stated that the establishment of a high-level cooperation council mechanism between Türkiye and Montenegro would be beneficial for the development of bilateral relations, that the work is ongoing in this regard, and that expanding the bilateral trade volume would deepen ties further.
President Erdoğan expressed that Israel's aggression is spreading and endangering both regional peace and the international system and that Türkiye is striving to achieve an immediate ceasefire alongside the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.
