President Erdoğan meets with President Abbas of Palestine

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine at the Presidential Complex.

The meeting addressed the massacres committed by Israel in Palestinian territories, the steps that need to be taken for a permanent ceasefire and peace as well as the recent developments.

Stating during the meeting that Türkiye will continue to support Palestine's just cause, President Erdoğan added that it will continue to strive to stop Israel and increase the pressure on Israel by the international community.

Stating that Israel continues to massacre civilians, including babies, displace innocent Palestinians, strike schools, hospitals, and civilian refuges, and condemn people to hunger and thirst, President Erdoğan underlined that it is unacceptable for some Western countries to remain silent about all this and continue to help Israel.

President Erdoğan expressed that all countries, particularly the Islamic world, should enhance their efforts to ensure an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to Palestinians.

During the meeting, President Erdoğan also voiced his satisfaction that Abbas will address the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye tomorrow.
