President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in Egypt for the "Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit", met with Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the United Kingdom.
The meeting addressed Türkiye-United Kingdom bilateral relations as well as regional and global matters.
During the meeting, President Erdoğan noted that they are working to advance cooperation between Türkiye and the United Kingdom in all areas, particularly in the defence industry.
President Erdoğan also emphasised Türkiye's intensive efforts to bring the attacks in Gaza to an end and to secure a ceasefire, underlining that these endeavours would intensify to make the ceasefire permanent and pave the way toward peace.
Further noting the significance of uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza and the immediate start of reconstruction efforts, President Erdoğan stressed that lasting peace can only be achieved through a two-state solution and emphasised the importance of the international community's efforts in this regard.
