Statement regarding President Erdoğan’s meeting with PM Kobakhidze of Georgia

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze of Georgia on the sidelines of the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF2026).  

The leaders addressed bilateral relations between Türkiye and Georgia, as well as regional and global issues.

During the meeting, President Erdoğan stated that they will continue to take steps to increase the bilateral trade volume between Türkiye and Georgia and to further develop relations in many areas, particularly in energy cooperation.

Emphasizing that efforts to achieve lasting peace in the South Caucasus are ongoing, President Erdoğan noted that operating the Baku–Tbilisi–Kars railway line at full capacity will contribute to the efficiency of the Middle Corridor.
