President Erdoğan meets with PM Kishida of Japan

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in Dubai for the COP28 Summit, received Prime Minister Fumio Kishida of Japan.

 

The meeting addressed Israel's attacks on Palestinian territory and the need for humanitarian aid in the region, in addition to Türkiye-Japan relations.

 

During the meeting, President Erdoğan stated that Israel's attacks on Gaza, which have escalated to the point of massacre, cannot be justified under the guise of self-defense.

 

President Erdoğan emphasized the importance of delivering adequate humanitarian aid to Gaza as soon as possible, that it is critical to stop Israel in accordance with international law, and that the resolution adopted by the United Nations General Assembly demonstrates Israel's isolation.

 

Issues regarding the economic, political and diplomatic ties between Türkiye and Japan were also discussed during the meeting.
