Statement regarding President Erdoğan’s meeting with PM Pashinyan of Armenia

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia in Istanbul.

President Erdoğan welcomed Prime Minister Pashinyan of Armenia with an official ceremony.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan was also present at the meeting.

The meeting addressed contacts between Türkiye and Armenia, the peace and dialogue process in the South Caucasus, and current regional developments.

During the meeting, President Erdoğan emphasized the significance of the consensus reached in the ongoing peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, given the current circumstances, and added that Türkiye will continue to provide all kinds of support to the efforts aimed at the region's development with a "win-win" understanding.

The meeting also covered potential steps to be taken within the framework of the normalization process between Türkiye and Armenia.

President Erdoğan noted that Türkiye is utilizing all diplomatic means not only for the establishment of stability in the Caucasus but across the entire region, as well as continuing its engagements with other leaders to avert the risks posed by the spiral of violence triggered by Israel’s attacks on Iran.
