President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in China for the 25th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), met with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia.
The meeting addressed Türkiye-Armenia relations in light of the steps taken toward lasting stability and peace in the South Caucasus.
President Erdoğan expressed his satisfaction with the progress achieved in the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, underlined Türkiye’s support for peace, stability, and development in the region, and said that Türkiye will maintain its contribution to the process.
President Erdoğan also noted that steps aimed at enhancing cooperation between Türkiye and Armenia were being deliberated.
