President Erdoğan meets President Tokayev of Kazakhstan

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a tête-à-tête meeting with President Kassym-Jomart K. Tokayev of Kazakhstan.

Delivering a speech at the meeting held at the Akorda Palace, President Erdoğan stated that he was pleased to meet with Tokayev again in Astana following his state visit to Türkiye in May and bilateral meetings in New York.

President Erdoğan mentioned that the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council will meet for the fourth time and recalled that they will attend the Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, one of Kazakhstan's important international initiatives, tomorrow.

President Erdoğan noted:

“I am confident that the reform works undertaken under your leadership will contribute to the peace and prosperity of the brotherly Kazakh people. I applaud your efforts and wish you success. As you correctly stated, I pray to Allah that the presidential elections on November 20 will be fair and auspicious for the new Kazakhstan. Regional and global developments necessitate that we, as the Turkic world, work closely together and strengthen our solidarity.

I place a high value on the security, stability, territorial integrity, and prosperity of our developed strategic partner, brotherly Kazakhstan. The 14 cooperation documents and joint declarations we signed during your visit to Türkiye will give our relations a new impetus. Today, we fortify them with six agreements. I would like to thank you once more for your gracious hospitality shown to me and my delegation in our ancestral lands.”
