President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared a post on his social media account to mark Türkiye Environment Week, during which World Environment Day is also observed on 5 June.
President Erdoğan stated, “I hope that Türkiye Environment Week, which we are observing through various activities this week, and World Environment Day on 5 June will contribute to raising public awareness of the need to leave a greener world for future generations. Guided by our vision of a greener and cleaner Türkiye, we are implementing significant initiatives across a wide range of areas, from waste management and climate-friendly technologies to afforestation campaigns, the efficient use of energy resources, and efforts to improve the quality of our air, water and soil. We will continue to work diligently to protect the environment, which is entrusted to us by Allah, and to leave it to our children in an even better state.”
