President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan issued a congratulatory message on the 60th anniversary of the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT).
Congratulating the anniversary of TRT, President Erdoğan said that TRT's responsible, impartial, and principled journalism has allowed it to share its knowledge and experience with the citizens for 60 years.
Stressing that TRT, which effectively employs all the new means required by modern digital broadcasting, has a robust and effective institutional structure and makes the Turkish people proud of the level it has reached in the field of broadcasting, President Erdoğan went on to say:
"Assuming the responsibility of public service broadcasting, TRT continues to convey the values, history, culture, power and voice of our country to the entire world with its dynamic structure and pioneering broadcasting experience. Setting an example with all its channels ranging from news to sports, music, documentaries, kids entertainment and culture, TRT is a school for the sector in our country and plays an essential role in training valuable television and radio professionals in this field. I believe that TRT will maintain all these successful efforts in the future. I congratulate all the employees of the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation on the occasion of its founding anniversary and extend my heartfelt greetings.
