President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan issued a congratulatory message to the Chairman of the Board and Director General of Anadolu Agency, Serdar Karagöz, on the 106th anniversary of the foundation of Anadolu Agency (AA).
Noting that AA was established during the most challenging days of the War of Independence to communicate the nation’s just cause to the world, President Erdoğan underlined that the agency continues its mission today with the same spirit and resolve, adding:
“Anadolu Agency, one of the most long-standing institutions of our Republic, has evolved beyond the role of a conventional news agency to become a powerful voice of the national will, truth and impartial journalism. With its accurate, timely and reliable reporting, it has earned a distinguished place in the shared memory of both our nation and humanity. Today, by effectively harnessing the full capabilities of the communications age, Anadolu Agency continues to pursue the truth across the globe and has emerged as one of Türkiye’s leading representatives on the international stage.
On this occasion, I extend my sincere congratulations on the anniversary of Anadolu Agency, and I remember with mercy and gratitude all those who have contributed to this distinguished institution, above all, its founders. I also wish continued success to all members of the agency who carry out their duties with outstanding dedication and selflessness, fully aware of the responsibility they bear. I firmly believe that Anadolu Agency will continue its journey with the same determination and steadfastness as the voice of truth.”
