President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared a post on his social media account regarding Israel's attacks on Gaza, which have been ongoing for a year.
In his post, President Erdoğan said:
"Today is October 7... Fifty thousand of our brothers and sisters, the majority of whom were children and women, who were alive exactly 365 days ago, have been brutally massacred. Hospitals, places of worship of different faiths, and schools in Gaza are no longer standing. Many journalists, representatives of civil society organisations, and peace ambassadors are no longer with us.
It is not only women, children, babies, and innocent civilians who are dying in Gaza, Palestine, and nowadays in Lebanon; it is also humanity, the institutions that are supposed to serve humanity, and the international system...
It is humanity and its hopes for the future that have been massacred on live broadcast for exactly one year for all the world to see.
Today, I remember with grief the tens of thousands of Palestinians killed by the cruel Israeli government since October 7, and I extend my heartfelt condolences to my bereaved Gazan, Palestinian, and Lebanese brothers and sisters who have lost their spouses, children, and families.
Israel's ongoing policy of genocide, occupation and invasion must come to an end.
It should not be forgotten that Israel will eventually pay the price for the genocide that has been going on for a year and continues to this day.
Netanyahu and his homicidal network will be stopped just like how Hitler was stopped by the united alliance of humanity.
There will be no peace in the world without accountability for the genocide in Gaza.
As Türkiye, we will continue to stand against the Israeli government no matter what the cost and we will continue to call the world to this honourable stance."
President Erdoğan also shared the video prepared for Gaza
Along with his message, President Erdoğan shared a video prepared for the 1st anniversary of Israel's genocide in Gaza.
The video ends with the following text in Turkish, English, Arabic, and Hebrew: "The genocide committed by Israel is killing Palestinians. The genocide committed by Israel is killing humanity."
