President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan inaugurated Barbaros Hayreddin Paşa Mosque in Istanbul.
Making a speech at the opening ceremony, President Erdoğan offered his gratitude to anyone who contributed to the construction of the mosque, and wished for it to be auspicious for Istanbul and the country.
Noting that the mosque, named after the pioneering Ottoman sailor Barbaros Hayreddin Paşa, can accommodate 20 thousand worshippers at once, President Erdoğan added that the mosque is in conformity with the architectural and cultural fabric of Istanbul.
