President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has arrived in the Uzbekistani city of Samarkand to attend the 22nd Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) at the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan.
President Erdoğan was welcomed at Samarkand International Airport by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov of Uzbekistan, Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev of Uzbekistan, Deputy Foreign Minister Gayrat Fazilov of Uzbekistan, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan Olgan Bekar, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Türkiye Alisher Agzamhodjaev and other officials.
First Lady Emine Erdoğan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez, Minister of Treasury and Finance Nureddin Nebati, Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar and Minister of Trade Mehmet Muş are accompanying President Erdoğan in Samarkand.
