President Erdoğan in Nakhchivan

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan travelled to Nakhchivan at 11:20 for a one-day working visit at the invitation of President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan.

After saluting the military parade guard on the apron, President Erdoğan was seen off by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, İstanbul Governor Davut Gül, and other officials.

President Erdoğan was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Environment, Urbanisation, and Climate Change Mehmet Özhaseki, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, Director of the National Intelligence Organisation İbrahim Kalın, Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun, Chief Advisor to the President Ambassador Akif Çağatay Kılıç, AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik, and other officials.

At the Nakhchivan Airport, President Erdoğan was welcomed by Aliyev, as well as Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Fuad Najafli, Deputy Chairman of Ali Majlis (Parliament) of Nakhchivan Anar Ibrahimov, Governor of Nakhchivan Mirsənani Seyidov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ankara Rashad Mammadov, Türkiye's Ambassador to Baku Cahit Bağcı, Türkiye's Consul General in Nakhchivan Asip Kaya, and other relevant officials.

President Erdoğan, who will have a private meeting with Aliyev, will attend the Iğdır-Nakhchivan Natural Gas Pipeline Groundbreaking Ceremony and, following a joint press conference and signing ceremony, the Opening Ceremony for the Military Maintenance and Production Complex.
