President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan travelled to Kahramanmaraş to inspect the areas affected by the Elbistan and Pazarcık centred earthquakes.
President Erdoğan, who flew from Esenboğa Airport to Kahramanmaraş, inspected the earthquake-affected areas and began coordinating the efforts on the ground.
President Erdoğan first received information about the earthquake-related works from Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu and other officials at Kahramanmaraş Airport.
President Erdoğan was accompanied by AK Party Deputy Chairmen Binali Yıldırım and Numan Kurtulmuş, Presidency’s Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun, and Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın.
President Erdoğan visited the tent city established by AFAD at the 12 Şubat Stadium and made investigations in the region. Meeting with the earthquake survivors and wishing them well soon, President Erdoğan is expected to make a statement after his investigations.
President Erdoğan is also planning to visit Hatay to make investigations.
