President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has arrived in Lachin, Azerbaijan where he will attend Azerbaijan’s Independence Day celebrations and the Türkiye-Azerbaijan-Pakistan Trilateral Summit.
Upon his arrival at the Lachin International Airport, President Erdoğan was welcomed by President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Türkiye’s Ambassador to Baku Birol Akgün.
Accompanying President Erdoğan on his visit are Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat and Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States Binali Yıldırım.

President Erdoğan and President Aliyev inaugurates Lachin International Airport
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan inaugurated the Lachin International Airport, the third airport Azerbaijan built in the liberated territories.
After cutting the opening ribbon, President Erdoğan and President Aliyev were presented with a symbolic key to the airport.
The two leaders, then, toured the airport and were briefed by officials. President Erdoğan visited the Dost Agropark stand as well.
President Erdoğan and President Aliyev also had a meeting at the airport.
After the opening ceremony, President Erdoğan and President Aliyev inspected the construction of the Kalbajar–Lachin highway, bridges and viaducts.
