President Erdoğan: “I stated that the conference could be a platform we can take joint steps against various problems”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared his views about his visit to Tajikistan on Twitter.

President Erdoğan returned from the 5th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).

Erdoğan commented about his visit on his Twitter account and noted the following:

"During my speech at the Summit, I stated that regional and global issues led to, not the reign of order, but unfortunately disorder in the world and Turkey was trying to shape dynamics around itself through peace, tranquillity, and stability.

I stated that the conference could be a platform where we can take joint steps primarily against attempts to force faits accomplis on issues which have global and regional sensitivity such as Syria, the terrorism problem, unilateral sanctions harming peace and stability, and Jerusalem.”

We held several bilateral talks on the sidelines of the Conference. I had fruitful talks with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Qatari Emir al-Thani towards strengthening bilateral relations.

I hope the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia will be beneficial for our world. I would like to thank the host country Tajikistan and other member countries for the support they gave to this important platform.”
