President Erdoğan holds phone call with President Vladimir Putin of Russia

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with President Vladimir Putin of Russia.

Steps aimed at further improving the relations between Turkey and Russia as well as regional issues were discussed.

President Erdoğan stated that Turkish and Russian specialists might meet with their Azerbaijani counterparts in order to make more effective the land and rail transportation lines in Nagorno-Karabakh, for whose reestablishment works were underway following the January 11 Agreement.

Noting that the Joint Center in Aghdam was successfully performing its duty to monitor and inspect the ceasefire, President Erdoğan expressed that joint efforts should be exerted in every matter for the ceasefire to be maintained.

Underscoring that it was in both countries’ interest to find a solution to the Syrian issue as soon as possible, President Erdoğan said that the opportunity that emerged for peace and stability in Libya should not be wasted.
