President Erdoğan greeted by Turkish Citizens in front of his hotel in the US

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was warmly welcomed by Turkish citizens in front of his hotel in Washington, where he will be staying. 

Arriving in Washington, the capital of the United States, to attend the NATO Heads of State and Government Summit, President Erdoğan proceeded from Andrews Air Force Base to his hotel.

In front of the hotel, Turkish citizens greeted President Erdoğan with banners in Turkish and English reading "Welcome" and waving Turkish flags. The crowd chanted slogans such as "Türkiye is proud of you."

President Erdoğan and First Lady Emine Erdoğan, waved from their official vehicle to acknowledge the enthusiastic supporters.

Extensive security measures were implemented around the hotel

During President Erdoğan's arrival, Numan Kurtulmuş, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM) and a member of the Turkish delegation, came over to the citizens in front of the hotel and chatted with them for a while.

Extensive security measures were taken around the hotel where President Erdoğan is staying. 

Some streets and avenues around the hotel were closed to traffic using trucks, and concrete and iron barriers were placed around the area.
