President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
During the phone conversation, President Erdoğan stated that with the agreement reached yesterday between Turkey and Russia regarding Idlib, both the protection of innocent civilians and the security of the Turkish soldiers who fight to death for the establishment of tranquility in the region were ensured.
Referring to the humanitarian plight along the Greek border, Erdoğan pointed out that Greece's announcement that it would not take the EU Founding Treaty and the Geneva Convention into account was a clear violation of international law and the values in the EU Founding Treaty.
President Erdoğan noted that the regulations concerning migration between the EU and Turkey were not functional and they should be revised.
