In a post shared on his social media account, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan congratulated Donald Trump for his victory in the United States of America (USA) presidential election.
In his post, President Erdoğan stated:
“I congratulate my friend Donald Trump on his re-election as President of the United States after a hard-fought presidential race. We hope that this new presidential term, marked by the votes of the American people, will strengthen Türkiye-USA relations and put an end to regional and global crises and wars, particularly the Palestinian issue and the Russia-Ukraine war. I believe that there will be more efforts towards creating a fairer world. I hope that these elections bring favourable outcomes to the friendly and allied American people and all of humanity."
