President Erdoğan congratulates those who contributed to rescue of 7 Turkish citizens detained in Libya for two years

President Erdoğan talked to the citizens on the phone upon their return home and conveyed his best wishes.

The citizens also expressed their gratitude to President Erdoğan for the active involvement of the state during that period.

Seven people were brought to Türkiye as a result of the National Intelligence Organisation's collaboration with the Qatar Intelligence Organisation.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan congratulated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Intelligence Organisation (MIT) for the rescue of seven Turkish citizens who had been detained in eastern Libya for two years on unfounded charges.

As a result of the success of the long-term efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Intelligence Organisation, citizens named İlker Sağlık, Doğan Kıssa, Nurettin Çalık, Halil Gözel, Ahmet Selvi, Hidayet Yaprak and Abdul Samet Akçay, most of whom work in the restaurant sector, were rescued.

Turkish citizens were brought to the country as a result of the contribution of the Qatar Intelligence Organisation in collaboration with the National Intelligence Organisation.
