President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan to congratulate him on the successful referendum held last week on the constitutional amendment.
According to a statement by the Presidential Office of Uzbekistan, Mirziyoyev held a telephone call with President Erdoğan.
During the call, the leaders discussed issues such as the further development of the two countries' comprehensive strategic partnership relations, constructive cooperation, and the implementation of priority projects.
The leaders reviewed the investment projects carried out in Uzbekistan with the participation of Türkiye's leading companies and also discussed the preparations for the next meeting of the Türkiye-Uzbekistan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
President Erdoğan congratulated Mirziyoyev on the successful referendum on constitutional amendments held in Uzbekistan last week and extended his best wishes for peace, development, and prosperity to the friendly people of Uzbekistan.
Mirziyoyev also wished President Erdoğan success in Türkiye's upcoming Presidential and 28th Term Parliamentary Elections, which will be held on May 14.
