President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, "This year, our brother Azerbaijan is crowning the Republic Day with the glory of its rightful victory in the Patriotic War, and Türkiye, which regards Azerbaijan's destiny as its own destiny, shares this happiness of Azerbaijan with a great sense of joy."
President Erdoğan sent a congratulatory message to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of "May 28th Republic Day of Azerbaijan".
Stating that he congratulated the Azerbaijani President Aliyev and all people of Azerbaijan with his heartfelt feelings, President Erdoğan noted the following in his message:
"This year, our brother Azerbaijan is crowning the Republic Day with the glory of its rightful victory in the Patriotic War, and Türkiye, which regards Azerbaijan's destiny as its own destiny, shares this happiness of Azerbaijan with a great sense of joy."
