In a post shared on his social media account, President Erdoğan said, "I congratulate our national athletes on their historic success of winning a total of 108 medals at the 19th Mediterranean Games, including 45 gold, 26 silver and 37 bronze medals. I would like to express my gratitude to all our athletes who represent our nation for their efforts, labour and the sweat of their brows."
President Erdoğan also included the names of the medal-winning athletes in his post.
