President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with Chancellor Karl Nehammer of Austria.
The call addressed Türkiye-Austria relations and regional matters, the Russia-Ukraine war in particular.
President Erdoğan underscored that every opportunity must be taken in order to end the humanitarian tragedy in the war in Ukraine and ensure ceasefire, and that the Istanbul process should be supported to make progress in the peace talks.
Stressing that Türkiye would continue its efforts favoring a peaceful resolution, President Erdoğan thanked Austrian Chancellor Nehammer for praising Türkiye's role in bringing an immediate end to the war and stating that he supported the Istanbul process.
