President Erdoğan celebrated May 13 Turkish Language Festival.

In a post he shared on his Twitter account, President Erdoğan said, "We said that we would speak Turkish and we have always protected the interests of our country and the rights of the oppressed by speaking Turkish. We will continue to fight for truth and justice in Turkish."

The post that read "I celebrate May 13 Turkish Language Festival" also consists of a video of 1 minute and 20 seconds.

The video features Erdoğan seeing the Turkish flag on the ground and lifting it as he was addressing other world leaders in Turkish and posing for a family photo with them and then saying, “I will speak Turkish,” in response to the following question that was asked him on a television program when he was Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor, “Which language would you prefer to speak to communicate with other world leaders if you were elected as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey?"
