President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital-Kayaşehir Subway Line Opening Ceremony in Istanbul.
Speaking at the ceremony, President Erdoğan noted that as a result of the round-the-clock works, the construction of the subway line had been completed within 24 months, and said: “We have successfully completed the works to test and put into use our subway line. And today we are feeling the pride of putting it at your disposal. We have designed our subway stations with an authentic approach. We wanted our Istanbul to not only have a transportation infrastructure but also symbol facilities.”
“WE WILL BUILD A TOTAL OF 650,000 RESIDENCES AND VILLAGE HOUSES”
Pointing to the ongoing works in the earthquake zone, President Erdoğan said: “We have mobilized all the means of our state in order to revive our cities. We have quickly began the construction of houses while removing the debris. The construction of 78 thousand residences and village houses has already started. We have broken the ground for 42 thousand of them. The figures are increasing each passing day. We will build a total of 650 thousand residences and village houses in the earthquake zone. We will inshallah complete 319 residences and village houses within a year, and deliver them to their owners.”
“TOGG WILL SHORTLY BE SEEN IN OTHER COUNTRIES AS WELL”
Also touching upon Türkiye’s automobile, Togg, President Erdoğan underscored that Togg would shortly be seen in other countries as well, and went on to say: “We have sent one to my treasured friend, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan. We are now sending one to my brother President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan. There will be other shipments, we will send others as well. We have turned Togg, the product of a 60-year-long dream, into one of the symbols of our Century of Türkiye vision.”
Drawing attention to defense industry projects, President Erdoğan said that Türkiye’s aircraft carrier would start to operate and be delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces on Monday.
