Expressing that unity and solidarity was the key to success in every field, from political struggle to efforts of expanding rights and freedoms, President Erdoğan noted the following: “I believe that the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, which has an important place in the Bulgarian democracy, will proceed on its way with a more comprehensive and embracing understanding in the new period. As Turkey, we will continue to stand by you based on good neighbourly relations, friendship, and alliance with Bulgaria.”
President Erdoğan sent a video message to the Movement for Rights and Freedoms Congress of Bulgaria.
Greeting the participants and conveying his gratitude for the kind invitation to the congress, President Erdoğan wanted to make it clear that his heart was with the participants, even though he could not attend the congress.
Hoping that the congress would succeed and be auspicious for the cognates living in Bulgaria, President Erdoğan wished success to all brothers and sisters, especially the chairperson, who would be assigned by the will of the delegates as a result of the Congress.
Communicating that numerous activities had to be held ‘online’ this year due to the pandemic that affected Turkey together with the whole world, President Erdoğan stated the following: “We see that Bulgaria continues its fight against coronavirus decisively under the leadership of my dear friend Prime Minister Borissov. As Turkey, we offer our support to the benefit of friendly and brotherly societies in this period in line with the understanding that ‘a friend in need is a friend indeed’.”
Indicating that Turkey stood by Bulgaria with medical assistance and support during the most critical period of the pandemic, President Erdoğan took this opportunity to offer his condolences to the cognates and Bulgarian neighbours who lost relatives in the coronavirus outbreak.
Stating that this pandemic once again reminded the importance of solidarity and sharing, President Erdoğan said the following:
“Unity and solidarity is the key to success in every field, from political struggle to efforts of expanding rights and freedoms. I believe that the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, which has an important place in the Bulgarian democracy, will proceed on its way with a more comprehensive and embracing understanding in the new period. As Turkey, we will continue to stand by you based on good neighbourly relations, friendship, and alliance with Bulgaria.
Concluding my speech with these thoughts, I thank you again for your kind invitation, and I wish for the success of your Congress. I extend my best regards to all our cognates living in Bulgaria as well as the whole of Bulgaria in your person.”
