President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and First Lady Emine Erdoğan visited the photo exhibition titled "Women in Life" organised by the Women and Democracy Foundation (KADEM) in New York, USA.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and First Lady Emine Erdoğan, who came to New York for the 79th United Nations (UN) General Assembly, visited the "Women in Life" photo exhibition at the Türkevi Centre.

Before his speech at the UN General Assembly yesterday, President Erdoğan and First Lady Emine Erdoğan viewed the photographs on display.

President Erdoğan was briefed on the photographs by Saliha Okur Gümrükçüoğlu, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of KADEM, and had a conversation with the board members of the foundation who were in New York for the UN event.

Gümrükçüoğlu provided President Erdoğan with an overview of KADEM's "Solidarity Initiative with Palestinian Women" held in Times Square, New York, in March and shared the stories of success and determination of the female entrepreneurs who participated in the "Women in Innovation" programme, as portrayed in the photographs.

The exhibition features photographs from KADEM's photography competitions, held since 2019, showcasing the winning and selected submissions, as well as images taken during various projects and events organised by the foundation. The photographs highlight the daily lives of women from different regions of Türkiye.

Visitors to the Türkevi Centre, located right across from the UN building in New York, can view artistic depictions of women’s lives in Türkiye.
