President Erdoğan spoke by phone with Acting President of Iran Mohammad Mokhber.
During the call, President Erdoğan voiced his sadness over the passing of President Ebrahim Raisi of Iran, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Hossien Amir Abdollahian and the members of the accompanying delegation in a tragic helicopter crash, extending his condolences and wishing patience.
Stating that Türkiye stands with the Iranian people during these painful days and shares the grief of the Iranian people, President Erdoğan noted that Türkiye will continue to carry out what its neighborhood and brotherhood with Iran require.
President Erdoğan added that the contributions made by Raisi and Abdollahian to the Türkiye-Iran relations will always be remembered.
