Presidency's Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun spoke at the July 15 Epic Victory of the Nation - Fahir Atakoğlu Concert.
"July 15 marks one of the most treacherous uprisings in Türkiye's and even the world's history. July 15 is a betrayal unparalleled in the history of democracy. It is an invasion attempt carried out by a terrorist organisation acting as a pawn in the global imperialism order. On the other hand, July 15 also marks the Victory of our Nation. Everything was supposedly planned that night. However, an event they did not, could not anticipate occurred. Our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called on our nation to join the streets and resist.
As the Presidency's Directorate of Communications commissioned by our President, we work to ensure that the truth of July 15 remains imprinted in the nation's memory as it should be, that new generations learn about that day in the most accurate way possible and that the Victory of our Nation over attempts to distort the truth is well known in the international arena.
Under our President's leadership, we will speak out whenever possible about the global system's current injustices, as well as Israel's genocide and war crimes, and attempt to prevent the cycle of this cruelty.
Just as we stood as a nation against FETO, the instrument of the global exploitation order, on July 15, 2016, today, we will fiercely oppose the injustices of the global system in the name of the oppressed."
