The Presidency's Directorate of Communications told the stories of citizens, who were martyred during the July 15 coup attempt, to the international public in English through a live broadcast from the July 15 Monuments in İstanbul and Ankara.
During the event, organized by the Directorate of Communications, 251 martyrs were commemorated one by one on platforms set up across the July 15 Monument at the Presidential Complex and the July 15 Martyrs Monument at the exit of the July 15 Martyrs Bridge on the Anatolian side. The heroism of the martyrs was broadcast with a visual presentation in English.
Several ambassadors from various countries delivered speeches at the event, which was held at the July 15 Monument across the Presidential Complex.
The goal of the event was to call international attention to the nation's democratic victory, which was earned at the expense of people's lives during the fight against the July 15 coup attempt.
The event was broadcast live from the social media accounts of the Presidency's Directorate of Communications.
