Presidency’s Directorate of Communications briefs international media members on July 15 and FETO

The Presidency's Directorate of Communications held a briefing on the Fetullah Terrorist Organisation (FETO) and the July 15 coup attempt for 18 journalists operating in Indonesia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, and Montenegro.

During the meeting held at the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, information was provided on how FETO's coup attempt on July 15, 2016, was averted as a result of a great resistance from the state and the nation, led by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Pointing out that FETO poses a serious threat to all countries where it operates, the meeting has drawn attention to the shadowy structure and illegal activities of this bloody-handed organisation.

At the meeting, the participants were briefed about the commemoration programs and projects carried out under the coordination of the Presidency's Directorate of Communications every year at home and abroad to commemorate July 15, a victory for democracy, and the citizens martyred by coup plotters.

Gökhan Yücel, Head of the Strategic Communication and Crisis Management Department at the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, and Günay Babadoğan Ertan, Head of the Information Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs gave presentations to the guest media members during the meeting.
