Presidency’s Communications Director Prof. Fahrettin Altun was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University with the decision signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and published in the Official Gazette.
According to a statement made by the Directorate of Communications, Prof. Altun will work as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University as well as the Presidency’s Communications Director.
Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University, which is one of the leading and developing universities in Central Asia, is conducted by the Board of Trustees consisting of eight people. Each country appoints four members of the Board of Trustees. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees and three members are appointed by Turkey.
Founded in 1995 to support the development of brotherly countries and communities in Central Asia, particularly in Kyrgyzstan, the University acts as a bridge between Anatolia and Central Asia via strengthening the ties of affection.
