“Ramadan is not just a period of time, but a deep religious experience, a rich cultural practice, a social communication, interaction, solidarity and assistance network that makes its presence felt all over the world. Ramadan, a special period of time that hosts one of the fundamental worships of Islam, constitutes the basis for many physical and spiritual purification experiences for both individuals and society. Ramadan is an imagination of time that is an alternative to 'modern times', and a sufficiency economy that is an alternative to the ideology of consumerism. Hopefully, this will be an abundant Ramadan that is well comprehended for both our nation and the Islamic world.”
