Speaking at an iftar with tradesmen and artisans, President Erdoğan said: “We have always found you by our side in Türkiye’s struggle for economic independence in the last 22 years. Despite all the doomsayers, you have wholeheartedly believed in Türkiye’s economic potential and future. I want you to know that we always appreciate the role played by our tradesmen in bringing our country to this day.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at an iftar dinner with tradesmen and artisans in Istanbul.
“From Gaza to Somalia, from Lebanon to Sudan, from Asia to Africa, wherever there is trouble, problem, persecution, famine, you have helped. May our Lord bless you! We have always found you by our side not only during troublesome periods, but also in Türkiye’s struggle for economic independence in the last 22 years. Despite all the doomsayers, you have wholeheartedly believed in Türkiye’s economic potential and future. I want you to know that we always appreciate the role played by our tradesmen in bringing our country to this day. I would like to thank each and every one of you for your valuable contributions to the Turkish economy,” President Erdoğan said.
“The recently announced inflation, growth and employment figures have once again confirmed that we are on the right track. We closed 2024 with a growth rate of 3.2 percent. The decline in inflation continued in February. The decline in unemployment rates continues steadily. Our Central Bank took another step in the right direction with its interest rate decision yesterday. We will be patient a little longer and inshallah, we will be in much better places,” President Erdoğan said.
