Head of Communications Altun remarked, "Our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's motto, 'The world is bigger than five,' serves as a compelling call, emphasising the need to reconstruct the international system on the basis of justice."

Our Directorate is hosting a panel series titled "A Fairer World Is Possible" in 20 countries as part of the "Stratcom Public Forum" event.

Previously held in Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, the Netherlands, and Germany, the panel was conducted today in Rome, the capital of Italy. The panels will continue to be held in the United Kingdom, Poland, Belgium, and France throughout February.

The Presidency's Head of Communications, Fahrettin Altun, addressed the participants via video message for the opening remarks of the panel, emphasising the Directorate of Communications' belief in the possibility of a world order based on justice, inclusivity, and equality—a vision they resolutely advocate.

Head of Communications Altun noted that guided by this understanding, the Stratcom Public Forum seeks to present Türkiye's international vision to a wider audience through panels and side events held in 20 different countries.

Pointing out that the world is at a critical juncture in addressing global problems that affect humanity today, the Head of Communications Altun stated that the principle of multilateralism is gradually losing its significance, and the capacity of international organisations to find effective solutions to these problems is increasingly being questioned.

Noting that the shortcomings of the United Nations regarding legitimacy and inclusivity are undermining its fundamental mission of maintaining peace and security, Head of Communications Altun went on to say:

"In this context, our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's statement that "The world is bigger than five" serves as a compelling call, emphasising the need to reconstruct the international system on the basis of justice. Our President’s approach plays a crucial role in raising international awareness of the need to reform the United Nations into a more inclusive, transparent, and accountable structure."

"A more inclusive international system"

Head of Communications Altun emphasised that through the panels held as part of the Stratcom Public Forum, their goal is not only to discuss the pressing global challenges we face but also to explore solutions.

Head of Communications Altun stated that they brought forward proposals for building a more inclusive international system based on global justice and equality under the theme "A Fairer World is Possible."

Emphasising that the panels aim to foster discussions from diverse perspectives and develop a multidimensional understanding of the issue, Head of Communications Altun said, ''We are also laying the groundwork for building and sustaining a more robust dialogue among governments, civil society organisations, media, and think tanks.''

Head of Communications Altun added, ''I firmly believe that these events will not only amplify Türkiye's call for reform on the global stage but also serve as a catalyst for developing a shared vision and collective wisdom in pursuit of a fairer world order.''

Head of Communications Altun further noted that as Türkiye consolidates its leadership role in the principles of justice, peace, and equality, it firmly believes that, with the collective efforts of the international community, a fairer world is indeed possible.
