The National Security Council convened on November 26, 2025, under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

During the meeting;

1. The Council was briefed on the activities carried out with determination, resolve, and success at home and abroad against all types of threats and dangers to our national unity and solidarity, as well as our survival, including the terrorist organisations PKK/KCK-PYD/YPG, FETO, and DAESH, along with recent international developments.

2. In line with the goal of a ‘Terror-Free Türkiye,’ the meeting reviewed the multifaceted efforts aimed at bringing terrorism to a full and lasting end and strengthening our national unity and solidarity. It was underlined that there is no room for any form of terrorism or violence in the future of our region.

3. Satisfaction was expressed over the progress made by our neighbour Syria in overcoming its challenges, attaining its rightful place in the international arena, and contributing to regional stability. It was stated that Türkiye will continue to support the peace, prosperity, well-being and security of all segments of the brotherly Syrian people.

4. It was stated that the ceasefire achieved in Gaza, of which our country is among the architects, is of vital importance for stopping the genocide in the region; moreover, it was emphasised that the Israeli administration, which has violated the ceasefire, must immediately cease its attacks and fulfil its obligations.

It was noted that, just as in the establishment of the ceasefire, Türkiye is also ready to assume responsibility in the mechanisms that will guarantee peace and stability in Gaza in the subsequent process, and to contribute to the efforts to restore Gaza.

5. Developments in Sudan were assessed; our support for the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity was reaffirmed, and a call was made to all international actors, primarily the countries in the region, to act in cooperation to take steps aimed at immediately halting the massacres faced by innocent civilians and ending the conflicts in the country.

6. The latest situation in the Russia-Ukraine War was reviewed, and the significance of seeking a diplomatic solution in the face of developments indicating the risk of escalation was underlined; it was noted that Türkiye will continue its efforts together with its international partners to establish a lasting and just peace.

7. In light of the positive developments recently achieved in the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, opportunities for bilateral and regional cooperation were discussed; our commitment to establishing peace and stability and fostering development in the South Caucasus was reaffirmed.

Respectfully submitted to the public.
