Turkish music will connect with music enthusiasts in New York this week with the support of the Directorate of Communications.

The Turkish Consulate General in New York will host the Turkish Music Recitals from October 27 to November 4.

First, Secret Trio will take the stage on October 27 as a part of the Turkish Music Recitals, which are organised to take Turkish music from the local to the universal level and to provide music enthusiasts overseas with a taste of Turkish musical diversity.

The event series will continue with a Turkish and Balkan Music Culture workshop on October 28.

Serkan Çağrı, a Turkish clarinet virtuoso, and İsmail Lumanovski, a successful musician of Turkish descent, will lead the workshop at Türkevi in which traces of musical culture from Türkiye to the Balkans will be conveyed to the participants through technical and scientific explanations, as well as demonstrations.

Additionally, the Turkish Consulate General in New York will host a reception at Türkevi on October 28 on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Republic.

Serkan Çağrı and Marius Van Den Brink Trio will perform at the reception. The renowned jazz saxophonist İlhan Erşahin will attend this event as a special guest.
