The Presidency’s Director of Communications, Fahrettin Altun, shared a series of posts on his social media account to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Republic on October 29, Republic Day.
Referring to President Erdoğan's remarks in his post, "We are celebrating the 100th anniversary of our Republic with the pride of having such a strong, rich and deep-rooted background as a nation," Director of Communications Altun said, "The Republic of Türkiye, which is rooted in its thousand-year glorious past and fascinates everyone with its magnificence! The great plane tree deeply rooted in these lands is the symbol of our nation’s unity and solidarity. The Century of Türkiye begins now."
In another post, Director of Communications Altun recalled that drones, fireworks and light shows were held as part of the 100th anniversary events organised by the Directorate of Communications and said, "With the red and white hues reflected in the sky, we once again experienced the joy and thrill of the 100th anniversary. The Century of Türkiye begins now."
In his post quoting President Erdoğan's remarks "We will be one, we will be big, we will be strong, we will be brothers and sisters, and we, all together, will be Türkiye," Director of Communications Altun said: "All of the events and demonstrations we organised in celebration of Republic Day on October 29 drew a tremendous deal of interest from our citizens. To many 100 years together, in unity and solidarity..."
In another post that included images of President Erdoğan taken during the official parade held on the Bosphorus, Director of Communications Altun said, "Architect of the Century of Türkiye..."
Lastly, Director of Communications Altun shared a post with the hashtag "#CenturyofTürkiye" and stated, "We celebrated the 100th anniversary of our Republic with great excitement, joy and enthusiasm. Drones and fireworks transformed the sky into a masterpiece. We stride confidently into the future, carrying our centuries-old heritage with honour.”
