President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan issued messages on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
On the 7th anniversary of FETO's treacherous coup attempt, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan penned a letter to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
In his letter, Aliyev expressed his profound respect and reverence for the memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to prevent the coup attempt.
Stating that the treacherous plan of July 15 was one of the difficult tests in the history of Türkiye, Aliyev noted that the Turkish people showed the world their indomitable will, resolve, loyalty to the state and democracy once again.
Remarking that the victory won at the cost of the blood and lives of the martyrs, thanks to the resolve of the Turkish nation and state, which stood shoulder to shoulder on that difficult day, reaffirmed Turkish people's love for their homeland, their unique fighting spirit, and their invincibility, Aliyev said, "'The Democracy and National Unity Day,' which is a symbol of solidarity and national unity, will remain as a day of monumental pride in the history of the Turkish state."
Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar sent a congratulatory message to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the occasion of "July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day."
Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani of Qatar also congratulated President Erdoğan's "July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day" in a message he sent.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan shared a message on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
In a message he shared on Twitter in Turkish, Prime Minister Sharif said, "Pakistan joins the brotherly people and government of Türkiye in commemorating the seventh anniversary of Democracy and National Unity Day today."
Recalling the supreme sacrifices of the Turkish people, Sharif stated in his message:
"We pay our rich tribute and respects to the martyrs who valiantly resisted the heinous attempt to deprive them of democracy and basic rights. This historic and epoch-making day in 2016 also represented unwavering faith and profound trust in the dynamic leadership of my brother President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The takeaway of the day was that the nations can overcome any challenge with the power of unity, fraternity and deep bonds."
Minister of Foreign Affairs Yvan Gil of Venezuela shared a congratulatory message on the occasion of "July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day."
Sharing a post on his Twitter account featuring an image of the Turkish flag, Gil said, "We salute the brotherly Turkish people on the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day of Türkiye. On this day, 7 years ago, the people took to the streets to prevent the coup and defend democracy."
